We are most inclined to receive proposals of papers focusing on the topics of War in Polish literature, culture and language. We do not wish by this to refer specifically the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but to a more general approach, which could include such topics as:
- Evolution of literary forms and genres of war narrative
- Literary perception of war and military conflicts (even narrated in an ironic or sarcastic way, as in heroi-comical poems)
- Warfare rhetoric
- Anti-war literature
- Resilience to war trauma
- War and persecution in Polish history and culture, etc.

Issue #13 (2022)
The international, peer-reviewed and open access journal «pl.it / rassegna italiana di argomenti polacchi» is accepting submissions for its thirteenth issue (2022).
The year 2022 marks the official Year of Polish Romanticism, celebrating the bicentenary of the first volume of Adam Mickiewicz's Poezyje (including Ballads and Romances), the commonly accepted starting point of traditionally understood Polish Romanticism. This can be a unique opportunity to renew the critical debate on Polish Romanticism, on the long-lasting Romantic paradigm (martyrology, messianism, etc.), a debate initiated by the positivists, continued by Gombrowicz and Maria Janion, and lasting until today. We therefore also welcome contributions that fit into this strand of studies and reinterpret the period, its ideas, ideologies and myths, as well as the related cultural texts.
